The room went all wavey then as I drifted back in time...............
My Dad worked as a car salesman when I was at school (long time ago),it was just a job to him but he did used to bring home some tasty motors to show his car mad son.
One day he said to me "You are not going to school today, you are coming with me."
The owner of the garage had ordered a new Jensen and we were going to collect it from the factory.cool.
Somewhere I have a black and white picture of the new car on trade plates outside our house.

My Dad's boss had a white one - let me have a sit in it as a lad - I loved it - I still do love them. They are still out of reach!

Looks like it has a sunroof also.
Check front sides. If it has 2 vents it is an FF wink

You can't afford it.

Even if he gives it to you for free.

The restoration costs will be about twice the car's final value.

I thought the "it's not" referred to the FF comment and that you were going to identify it as an Interceptor rather than an FF from what you could see.

Bonnet length suggests Interceptor but I don't know any other tell-tales (that are visible in the pic)

Side windows/door and rear screen point towards Interceptor. I'm not so sure its a resto as the area is overgrown but not by the car. It also looks tidy - if it was outside you'd expect it to be dirty and maybe moudl growing on it but the windows and body reflect the light well, and the full lenght sunroof looks to be in good order. Think its just hidden behind some overgrown hedge, maybe to stop people oggling it.

You're correct, it's an Interceptor. By, as you said, the bonnet length and the shape of the very front of the wings.

it's been their at least a year, if i'd taken a pic from further back you would see that it is surrounded by long grass / weeds, but I agree it does look clean for a car that has been stood a while. But if it is a resto project, what would it be worth? The cost of restoring it would be so high.

As I said earlier, the restoration costs will be about twice the car's final value. But resto projects are starting to fetch money now, even a wreck will command £2-3K. So if you can get it for £250, get it straight onto eBay!
