It is a wonderful collection, but little known except in Jaguar club circles. Here's the XKSS being tested at Goodwood:-



Sadly, it is a reproduction built three years or so back, but a 100% accurate one. The collection first appeared "for sale" with a magazine quoting £100 million, a figure they plucked out of the air I guess. What the real sale price was only the buyer and vendor will know. Eight years back vandals broke into the unit and played bumper cars with the collection, resulting in untold damage. The perpetrators got a clip round the ear and were told to behave better.

Well with the heritage they have it's great to see them investing in it ...I just don't really see that they can genuinely extract value from just owning these cars. I think they may have plans to use a lot of them.
