what's it worth
Discussion
with a wee bit of a difference,I have a old Packard, an original British supplied right hand drive car, which in its day would have been an expensive thing to buy I presume, in America it had a list price of $1250. what would the exchange rate be like in 1938 and how much would it be to buy one if it was new today. I'm not interested in what its worth now as it was my grandfathers car and he had it since 1947 but I've always wondered what type of person would have been its first owner.
i'm surprised it's as little as that, although it was a low cost car as far as Packards go, that would only compare to a mustang or something like that which i think is considered budget (although I or especially my wife would love a mustang on the drive if i could get it here for $20k)
