Hi, new to the site and thought I would share a pic or two of my new toy..
Its a V6 MK1 cologne built Capri that's spent all its life in sunny California..
A true one owner car from new..

Looks lovely! Do you have more details on the car and its history? How did it come to the UK?

Capri was built in Germany for export to USA
They were sold under the mercury dealership to boost sales at the time hence them being called mercury Capri's ,all be it they are the same as over here bar a few things...
It has lived all its life until I bought it in California 8 weeks ago with the same family
There is no rust and never been welded anywhere on the car.

That looks really nice.

When we lived in America in the early/mid 70s these were marketed with the slogan "the sexy European"!

Stunning car. Make sure you get some choice of rust prevention in the obvious spots as the poor thing is probably gasping to sup up our lovely and endless water supply!

Got st loads of wax oil in spray cans to access everywhere !!
Want the car to stay in good order plus its garaged and wont see any rain...

I see there is a complete lack of badging, any under bonnet shots ??

PO had all the badges removed as he liked the look better...I do have all the badges 2600 V6 emblems plus Capri script for boot and Capri letters across bonnet , not sure weather to put back on or leave as is!!!
Will take a few snaps of the engine bay tomorrow...
