Identify Dads first car

Hi,

My father passed away last year and while going through old photos I found one of this car.
Can anybody help identify it. After some family research we found it was bought in around 1947/48 secondhand.
Any information/pointers would be grateful as I have had no luck so far.

The giveaway is the illuminated logo on the radiator, they always had them; possibly the coolest car badge ever
