Triumph Mayflower Rear bumper

Hi, just purchased a Mayflower, I've posted in the the Triumph section and unsure if many visit there so was thinking I may get a better response here.
I need to source a rear bumper, is there anywhere that sells re manufactured chrome bumpers for classic cars, I'd surely have though there was a company out there, looking for second hand parts for one has been proving difficult.

Presumably the Mayflower club don't know? I'd have thought the best bet would be to source a secondhand one through them and have it plated or use it as a pattern to have one made.
Mayflowers are sufficiently rare that it's pretty unlikely that there's a company who have them on the shelf or even have a pattern to make one from.

There isn't one listed for a Mayflower, but they appear to have most popular classics covered. I think they're made in Vietnam and it's not inconceivable that the manufacturer may have a pattern for a Mayflower.

I don't know the club involved, but don't be too surprised if you have to wait a bit longer for replies from that kind of organisation. You're usually dealing with volunteers that do these things in their spare time, so not getting a response after a couple of days shouldn't put you off.

THe Mayflower wasnt a success when produced, serious premature rust problems being the main fault, as a result not that many have survived so explaining lack of info and spare parts availability. I read an article many years ago saying that Triumph actually took a large quantity of cars straight from the factory to a worked out quarry and buried them as they couldnt sell them the reputation was that bad.
