Back in the late 60's as a young poser I owned this desirable car. through the power of the DVLA site I've finally discovered she's licensed .I'd love to chat with the current owner about her---he might be interested about her history. Longshot but you never know........................ Colin

Hi Colin,

My Dad (Bill Harper) owned JOK 783 in he 60's also. He bought it as a 24 yr old and it needed a full renovation, which he did. He's telling me he has colour slides of the renovation but finding these will be a significant challenge. He sold it to a dry cleaner and moved on to an MG Midget 436 DBF. Like you, he'd love to see some pics or get some information of the car now.

All the best,

Mark.

Well well !
I’m another past owner of this MG TC !
JOK 783- I bought it from a dealer, Paul Jaye
In need of restoration in 1980 . I did it up, it was a charcoal colour, I resprayed it British racing green, re grimed it in brown, I’ve got pictures of it!
I sold it in about 1983 in favour of an TB..
I too, would love to know if it’s still around and make contact with the current owner.
I’m on 07711677567

Hi Colin & Geoff,

My Dad finally found some slides! It’s fair to say a few of these show JOK 783 as work in progress! Apparently the green pain on the wheels “was all he had”.

All the best,

Mark
