Aldridge trimmers

Has anyone had any experience of Aldridge trimmers?
I've seen a few article on restorations recently that have used them and I was thinking of getting them to sort out the interior of my XK150. They do bucket seats for the XKs which would seem a better plan than the normal flat bench arrangement.
I've held off for years because I prefer the inside on old cars to look old, but I think now the seat leather has become too fragile. I had them restored about 5 years back by the restoration centre at Northampton Uni and they did a great job, but having used the car for trackdays the leather has split again.
Any comments?

I have to say that BAS produced a very fine result on the E-type, and not dear either compared to others. Aldridge I have only heard good reports about, it has to be said, but I would doubt their price is in the same ball park. Then again there is Mick Turley or Suffolk & Turley if you want Jaguar concours work.

Haven't used them myself but several SP250 friends have had some excellent work done there. My impression is top prices but top quality work, with some very good solutions to some of the SP250's more difficult trimming issues.

Bought a kit from Aldridge to do the interior of my XK140 very pleased with the result.

I've done a couple of my E Types with BAS and I have to say their product and service is superb.
As far as I know, BAS supply Aldridge with many of their parts and kits anyway.

I need to have a chat with BAS, I'm planning to switch to bucket seats which Aldridge supply fully built and trimmed, I'd be interested to see whether BAS do some too, but I couldn't see them on their website.

Speak to Steve at BAS, he's a top bloke and very helpful, i've bought a couple of there kits, for E Types and XK's and i personally think there excellent. They also do a bespoke service as far as i'm aware.

Rather like Exkay I have done an E-type (in its entirety) and some of an XK120 and I have no complaints -top quality and everything fits.

I've just spoken to BAS, the lot in the UK rather than the lot in the US (very confusing).
The bucket style seats are significantly cheaper at Aldridge a saving of over 40% more than enough to pay for a complete new set of carpets :-)
Now I just new LadyB8's agreement.

I've not used them myself, but I've not heard a bad word about them other than they ain't cheap (although quality is rarely cheap).

A friend of mine had his Austin Seven Ruby saloon re trimmed by Aldridge Trimmers and they had done a superb job
