Bluebird at Pendine 90 Years On

90 years on from setting the first 150mph land speed record, the Sunbeam Bluebird made a return visit to Pendine Sands yesterday in commemoration, driven by Don Wales (Campbells grandson). It was joined by the Napier Railton, which is also a really beautiful old thing.
I was privileged to be invited "trackside" to see the cars run, along with my wife & daughters & some other members of the Bloodhound SSC team.

Made the whole day for me
it would of been like piloting a 10 ft tall canoe at 200 mph sitting on top of that beast would of been seriously twitchy bum time, I'd love to have a go
Idris elba and his record doing 180 in a modern Bentley hardly the same type of bravery or skill I'm sure virtually anybody would of been capable in that car still I'd not of turned the offer down

First I saw was the comment in classic and sports car. No comparison of which feat was the more impressive if you ask me.
