Family classic £20-£30k
Discussion
Not for me but family member looking for a family classic to keep for a good few years.
Like us they have a range rover classic and they fancy a change, must have 4 seats / be interesting / probably premium and useable.
I have told them to keep the classic ( its a CSK)
My suggestions so far :
Bentley Arnage / continental
Porsche 928 (Probably a bit small in the back)
XJS convertible ( again a bit small in the back)
Anyone got some better suggestions ?

Nice problem to have, there are some great classics in that price range:-
Alfa 2600 Coupe.
They are slightly awkard in the looks department, but they do have a certain elegance:-

Aston Martin DB7 Vantage
More of a 2 + 2, but jolly nice looking

Bristol
The 410 and 411 are worth a look:-

Mercedes
How about a classic German barge, 300 SE Coupe:-

Alvis
For something a little older, but very classy, how about an Alvis TD21

Apparently he's going to look at these two :

Seems a bit one track and the budget appears to being stretched !!!!
Not sure the Arnarges are really classics but look lovely

I'm biased obviously, but a Bristol is a great family classic. Plenty of space and pace, and definitely meets all of the "4 seats / be interesting / probably premium and useable" requirements. My 2- and 4-year old boys love my 410, and my wife not only puts up with it but was pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to drive. (Her only previous experience of old cars was my Rover P6 2200, which is much heavier and awkward to drive if you're used to modern cars.)
