Car cover / Carcoon etc

Ok, so why the hell are Carcoon's so damn expensive? Its plastic, with like a 20 quid pump and some plastic rods. I refuse to pay 500 quid for some plastic, really its crazy.

Anyone heard of any other more reasonable ones in the market? (Car and Bike ones)

Yeah its a bit of an outlay but they don't exactly wear out.

My outdoor one did, about three and a half years and it leaked all over the place, probably last longer under a carport but mine was in the open so now I'm on my second one.

To be honest I can stand the faff of the carcoon, I use these which are easy to drive in and out of with no need to scratch car / clean it every time

To be fair, Carcoon do the same type of thing (wish I had one) and when I bought an ordinary one they quite readily gave me 15% off w2hich would make it cheaper than the Cairoport.

The Carcoons work well, few negatives would be looks like a spaceship has landed, liable to be vandalised if it's up in a dodgy neighbourhood and make sure car is dry when putting it away but well worth the extra money over a car cover especially if you value your pride and joy.

When you think how much we spend on our cars, the £350 spent on a basic Carcoon seems like a good investment to me
