Was this a beetle, Jowett Javelin? or other?

Rear opening is wrong shape for a Beetle I think.

Rear window looks too large for a Beetle, even a 1303 and the outline of the rear wing doesn't look quite right.

Behind the body window looks wrong for a Beetle - too long, too much metal.

Definitely not a Javelin - they were four door.

Is it rear engined?
Any chance of a slightly higher-res picture...?

German Ford Taunus 12m? 1172sv engine (not the same as UK) 1954-59ish. Horrible things!
