Another name the car....

I've been trawling the internet to see if I can find a clue as to what car this was.
Photo is around 1972.
My memory is that it was something quite cool, but there's every chance it was not!

Definitely similar, though I doubt the Escort would have had a leather trimmed wheel.

Aah, cool is really a matter of personal opinion but I like them. Note 8k revcounter so could be a bit special.

Not a Mk1 Escort.....clocks are wrong !

On the 2-dial set-up speedo was on the left and the other one was fuel/temp

On very first glance I thought it was a non GT / RS Mk1 Escort.

Then had another look.

Note wide warning lamp-ready to do it's job.
