My Mk1 MX5 is insured with Lancaster and i added the breakdown cover onto the policy. From what i can tell it covers homestart - they will try to get car fixed within an hour and if they don't suceed they will take it to local garage,

Now i think the clutch slave cylinder is knackered (something I'm going to inspect tomorrow) if it is, is it acceptable for me to order a new one and call them out to fit it? I haven't got the tools to do it and I'm assuming will be an easy job for the breakdown guy.

Shouldn't be a problem. If you get the Mr Sheen out and a duster he'll do a bit of cleaning as well.

Ha! So it is classed as a breakdown if i know what it is and have the part? I would do it myself but ive just bought the bloody thing and cant really afforf to splash out on my planned tool kit yet.
