It was in the auction marquee at Goodwood - didn't it sell there, or maybe it was just on display to get publicity for the next auction?

It's not like it has race/rally history, but it was DMH's personal car for a while, he claimed amazing times to get from Warwick to Cornwall in this and/or the other fastback, you wouldn't manage it in those times now and there weren't motorways then, although also there wasn't much traffic either and no speed limits.

Somewhere else I saw a million dollars which is £660,000 so not far away.

NOJ 393, the 100 involved in the 55 LeMans crash sold for £843,000 ($1,323,915) in 2011, in its unrestored state. Can't imagine what it's worth now it's been restored, although I think it was more valuable unrestored than its current perfect condition that's lost all the history and probably most of the panels

Cannot say that I would even want a car involved in such a tragedy let alone pay that amount.
You would think that the provenance of ONX would make it worth more. Apart from being unique it is slightly better looking than the other coupe shown here. Both beautiful but ONX has the edge in a XK120 fixed head coupe fashion, with a bit more glass behind the driver making the cockpit a bit more airy.
