Hi anyone been/going? Is it worth a look?
I'm not exactly a restorer more of an enthusiastic tinkerer.

I probably will be, been the last couple of years and it's usually worth a browse, picked up a couple of bargains in the past to help with my projects also.

Always worth a punt as it's just up the road from me - I managed to pick up some bits 'n' bobs for the Mini at the last one but will be looking for some Jag stuff this time. Also, there are usually some good bookstalls to browse and plunder.

Club displays too - and some of the braver ones do restoration on the day. I'm in the Triumph Dolomite Club, and we've been pretty adventurous - We've welded sills, fitted a Webasto sunroof (including cutting the hole!) swapped gearboxes, and lots of other stuff in between.

I went along, not great TBH, okay if you want to buy some cheap (Bergan) tools.

The club stands were doing their best but I was hoping to see more cars for sale, and before and after project stuff.

Having been disappointed on previous occasions, I gave it a miss this year. Looks like I didn't miss much. Did they really charge a tenner to park nearer the exhibition halls?

No idea about the tenner, plenty of parking available. I'm pleased I only paid £8 per ticket rather than £12 on the door.

Nobody asked me for money for parking and didn't see anybody asking for/collecting money.

From the show web site, "Car parking is free of charge however we do have a priority parking section where visitors can park right outside the venue for easier access."

I heard it was a tenner for 'priority parking'.

I seem to recall something like that for Race Retro as well, almost wish we'd paid it as it was slatting it down when we left.

I've been to this before, didn't go this time as it struck me it was a bit too close (time-wise) to the NEC show in three weeks, and it's a reasonable distance from here.
