Did anyone here go?

I went and had a cracking two days. My phone app tells me we walked nine miles on the Saturday.

It was different to the year before. Not worse but different.

Highlights for me were the abundance of Land Rover, Range Rover, Jaguar and other British marques.

Had a very good chat with a bloke about his yellow Volvo DAF 66.

Even a Metro van there!

I went on the Saturday, but I was mainly around the autojumble and traders village with a list of stuff I need for the rebuild, some of which I got and some I didn't.

Spent 3 days on the club stand, lost count of how many people I spoke to and was forced to have dinner with the ex-CEO of the company. It's a hard life

That was an impressive display of Excel, Elite and Eclat. The greed Excel SE was gorgeous as was the red Elan.

Thanks! We do our best. What did you think of the "Excite" ? (I won't ask about the scruffy service Excel parked round the back).

I should have paid more attention to the Excel!

What was the Excite? I must have missed that. I was with my wife and a friend who were more interested in the new MX-5!

Blue Elite S2 bodyshell (covered in Le Mans stickers) on Excel SA chassis and running gear, with a nice fuel injection conversion as well. Beautiful car.

I did see it. Stunning car but that unrestored gold car caught my eye too. I have a weakness for gold cars.

Sadly I don't have the accommodation, technical know how or the pockets to properly look after a Lotus of that generation. My gold MGF will have to do, though I could be temped by a 1990s Elan.
