Well its boxing day , I've got a bit of cash in my pocket (about £3K) and need to feel the wind in my hair and blow the cobwebs away. Any suggestions?

The classic and retro thread would be a good place to start maybe

I'm biased as I use mine as a virtual daily driver, but can't recommend these great little sports cars highly enough. Fast enough without feeling that it'll kill you, decent enough on fuel (30 plus mpg), reliable (yes they are!) great fun to drive and the roof comes off.

Oh yeah, they sound epic.

Not many around, I've only seen two others since getting one in 2013. Love it! smile

I was just going to suggest Spitfire/Midget/MGB/MX5 etc before reading the post above. TVRs are incredible value for something quite unusual.

With that budget I would strongly suggest looking to a Scimitar although you would need a Webasto for the windy hair thing, or a small sports model which are even more greatly underrated.

I may be biased, but still cheap, strong mechanically, easy to source most parts and an excellent owners' club for support, sporting opportunities, etc.

That's my old S2!

Sold it about 8 years ago, looks pretty much as it was when I saw it last.
