Is this car ever destined to become a classic?

My neighbour lives abroad most of the time and has this sitting in his garage. He's happy for me to take it off his hands ASAP but I have no idea what it could be worth or whether its something that could one day be considered desirable.

He just seems keen to offload it with no hassle so don't think he want's much he's pretty wealthy.

It's done 50k miles and looks to be in very nice condition. Bit of a smash and grab photo but its a Cooper S with leather interior and all the bits apparently.

Already is one in many peoples' books! Rust depending could be worth a few thousand.

Looks like a twin point with classic leather, so worth less in terms of desirability but still has a value around 3+ i'd say dependant on condition, don't know about the 's' part, if it is it can only be a John Cooper garages version which should be supported with a plaque and cert, then worth more too.

Yes, it's collectable. Even if it's rotten it still is because you can still get panels all the way up to new shells.

It deserves better than being left in a garage, they are good fun.
