Some people really try it on, Christ. Surprised with that dodgy birds nest wiring under the bonnet that the thing hasn't caught fire yet. Hopefully it will.

Originally blue, now red, ste paint, somehow with an MOT, wrong engine ...

£1500 and that's being generous. 20 years ago you might have got scrap if you were lucky. Some mug will pay loads for it though.

Trouble is, look at a Mini pickup compared to a saloon as regards prices. They all were used to death and now the values are horrendous purely because of rarity, just like the van. In fact all commercials really, just like the Transit.

I think the original York diesel would make it less desirable. At least you can start a Toyota diesel when it's cold!

Trouble is the value is often in the originality.

A lot of people park the original engine under the bench and use a substitute so that when the move it on the next guy will pay top money and then he will park it under his bench too.
