There are some lovely looking cars. My favourite is the MGTA ex police car.

Yes.

Partly because there's a Barchetta going through.

Most classic auctions are during the week so getting one on a weekend that's not too far away is also a bonus.

I'm not bidding,just interested observer.

C-Type, D-Type, and two Ford GT's (all replicas of course). I'll be there.

Had a great day there, never been to a classic auction before.

Sat in my seat for the entire sale, didn't want to miss anything.

I thought the most comical price was £5200 for an FX4 Taxi.

Not much interest in replicas it seems...

The D-Type peaked at £20K (not sold). Looked alright but awful under the bonnet.
The brand new C-Type went at £34.25K - I don't suppose you could build one for that.
A nice GT40 Mk1 not sold for £59K
A GT40 Mk3 with the wrong engine looked reasonable at £28K.

All hammer prices, with fees extra.

You wonder why dealers advertise replicas with such absurd prices.

Felt more like a family day out / car show , than a serious buying opportunity.

I thought nearly £100k for the Integrale was pretty sensational!
