Lancia Gamma pics

After a period of enforced idleness waiting for a new ignition switch, I had the Gamma out today. It didn't massively overheat, it didn't catch fire and it ended the journey under its own steam (putting it in the upper quartile of trips). On the downside, the wiper stalk broke off and the central locking randomly locked and unlocked throughout the day, suggesting that the electrical gremlins are still far from tamed.

Good God, that's a blast from the past! I remember driving one from Mansfield to Northampton in the early 80's, a trader friend had just bought it at an auction. It made the journey without a problem! Lovely old thing, 2500 flat four IIRC?
Yours looks in very good nick, there can only be a very few left now...

There is a certain irony there.

A truly gorgeous car. It never ceases to amaze me just HOW much better looking it is than the berline...

Absolutely gorgeous. A chap directly opposite my school had two metallic blue gamma coupes and two red maserati mereks. It made going to school worth while. Possibly the reason I had a tattoo, which just happens to be a Lancia badge.

lovely cars in there day, I was allways led to believe that only 100 of them were sold in Britain, if so I wouldnt think there are very many of them left now.

Definitely on my list to have one, and great value for such an elegant 80’s GT, they look better in flesh and especially with bigger heels. Although those series 2 starburst alloys kind of grow on you.

ClaphamGT3 have you had the car long as the number plate looks familiar, I think I was tempted by it on ebay some time back, was it the one from the Scottish collector?
