Tracing your classics history (outside UK)
Discussion
I bought my TR3 last year from a chap in the UK who found the car in upstate New York and imported it through a shipping company that specialises in repatriating old british sports cars. The car arrived in England with no history, but did come with the name and address of the previous owner. I am only the third owner of the car and I believe the first two owners were in the same family. My next step is to write to this address with a polite letter asking for any info and maybe a pic of the car now it's back on the road. Has anyone on here done something similar maybe with a response far better than expected, full folder of bills, history and copies of period photos ?
