Help please look out for Stolen E-type in London
Discussion
Help share this around for any sightings.
My mates E-Type was stolen last night from London NW8
If anyone has any sightings of this car please let me know and Met Police.
(where else is a good place to share this info please share)
REG 423 UYP
white
E-type hatchback.
Distinguishing features
Left hand drive.
Missing trim bits from inside as he was refurbishing the head cloth etc.
Its also very loud you might hear it coming before you see it.
Was last seen driven away by car thief around 1am yesterday from St Johns Wood, police are investigating, but no sightings. Owner is distraught as this car was very special to him.
It had very little fuel in and has a locking fuel cap so could not have been driven very far as we still have the keys.

Very sorry to hear about your friends E-Type loss, very pretty S1 car, and i can fully understand how upset he/she will be.
I'm up North so doubt it will get this far (especially with so little fuel) however i attend many classic car shows so will keep an eye should at appear anywhere locally.
Sure whoever has taken it knows full well how significant it is and also sadly to its high value.
Fingers crossed it is found safe.
Andy
A suggestion from some of the E Type forum chaps is to register as much detail about the car as possible here http://www.xkedata.com
This might help should the thieves try and sell it on.
It would also be worth dropping a note to the people at the Jaguar Enthusiasts Club and Jaguar Drivers Club.

Likely outcome here is it will be stripped for parts to sell abroad as it's a left hooker, absolute toe rags. Hope I am wrong.
Sadly yes but not always the case. A friend of mine lost cars in a theft including a couple of Astons and an E-Type and they were recovered intact and undamaged by the police following a tip by a chap walking his dog. I'll not say more but some may know the incident. Spread the word and someone may remember seeing something. Really important. Act now!!!
Mine was nicked almost exactly a year ago. I had a tracker and got mine back.
Same model and same year roughly.
Mine was found at The Hall Farm. North st Tillingham. Essex CM0 7 ST
It is a car thieves nest....
Call the police now and give them the location....it is worth a check as mine went at approx same time of night.
Act now as it next stop will be Harwich and abroad....
I saw a post on the E type forum and registered here specially. Hope you find it....

S##t....they really need to see this and act. Same time of night. Same model. Almost a year to the day. Willing to bet it is the same gang. They may be using a different safe store but Herts and Essex police I am certain knew the thieves but did not have the evidence. They will store for a few days till they are sure it is not tracked and then collect, containerise and ship. Then it is lost.
If a moderator reads this can they not email the OP.....

Well done. The story I alluded to earlier had a similar MO. Cars disappeared and the chap who walked his dog in the same place most days reported to the police that he'd seen some strange activity around a farm that was usually dead. They raided and it was full of stolen classics. I tell this story because it's never a case of just resigning oneself to it being shipped off to China in a container from Felixstowe docks!
Rally cross...good....get the met to get their arse out to Essex NOW and get them to speak to Herts Police and PC Mungai.....may be a different gang but the whole Mo sounds identical to mine....long shot but I hope it is found....I know just how your mate feels....awful feeling....do post any updates....I really hope it is found...and if it is the same gang and they are arrested I shall claim my grand back for recovery and a spare wheel that was not recovered.....they are scum....

Thanks could you send me an email via here or direct to my gmail account ( craigmich@ )so he can get in touch?Hi RallyCross,
Really sorry to hear about the theft, hope you can catch these thieving B*st*rds.
Stephanie Plum on E-Type forum mentioned that you wanted help on getting it listed on XKE data the biggest register of e-types.
My friend, you need to get all the details up on that site now ASAP so as to really help to get your car back. Hopefully you have all the heritage certificate details to log it on, main item you need is the chassis number.
