It's strange how sometimes things turn up these days out of the blue. Just a general chat with a guy led to a visit and me coming home with these silly bits and pieces. The little tins are the French equivalent of Oxo cubes, and the thermometer is a bit faded but has no rust at all and the original mercury thermometer working fine. All he wanted was for them to have a good home.
