Does anyone have a recommendation for a classic Citroen car club? I took the plunge at the weekend and bought a slice of air-cooled thrummy goodness at the weekend at auction.

It was all on a bit of a whim so now playing catch up on the little things like insurance, paying for it, telling my wife (she was having a girls weekend away), garage space etc, hence the search for a decent forum of owners.

Flat twin, or flat four?

http://www.2cvgb.co.uk/ or http://www.citroencarclub.org.uk/

Both are more the "traditional" club than forums - both have forums, but FB has most of the online action for both.

Flat four - GS Club. My Dad had GS's and I eventually learned to drive in one. Ridiculously excited about picking it up.

Thanks for the pointer on the club

Nice.

There's only one person you really, really need to know for G bits - and that's Rob at Chevronics.

Yes I have made contact with Rob and the car is being trailered to his workshop for a going over. I guess this is where I find out what I have bought. He seems a top bloke from the discussions we have had.

I have (hopefully) attached a photo of the car in case of interest.

He is. I must've known him for damn near 25yrs, since he was servicing cars in the evening after working in a proper job all day.
