After a wonderful trip to the Le Mans Classic, my journey with my beautiful Maserati Mexico is complete so it's time to move it on. With the pound being weak and the car being a LHD, I think it's main market is either the US, or more likely Europe. I've used 'Car and Classic' before but are there any more central Europe based classified sites or magazines which get a wide audience.

I'm aware that the market is soft at the moment but I'm in no real rush so won't go down the auction route.

Any recommendations?

I've used this site before. It's not free (though it wasn't massively expensive if I remember correctly) and I got a lot of interest...It all looks a bit high end but it'd be perfect for your Mexico

www.mobile.de

I sold my 914 to a chap in Germany through that website, but it did take quite a long time.

I managed to get quite a bit more for it that I would in the UK, it didn't even get bids at a UK classic auction.

Thanks, I'll have a look at that as well. There is no advantage in trying to sell it within the UK, there is too much nervousness after the referendum which will put off buyers. Plus, I'm hoping US or Euro based buyers will be advantaged by the weaker pound and it's a LHD car which of course helps.

I did get quite a bit of interest from a few European countries on that website as well.

Most Germans can speak/write well in English, but the buyer of my 914 was one of the few that didn't speak English.

I spent hours translating all of our email correspondence, but it worked well in the end!

I even ended up delivering the car and sneaked a cheeky trip to the Nurburgring on the route biggrin

bringatrailer.com ... For a car as rare as yours, it's be a great window.

A search reveals this.
