Not Taxed or sorned ?

So I was wondering what happened to my old GT6 - and apparently it's not SORN'ed and hasn't been taxed for quite a while (since I had it).
Does that mean it's scrapped / exported ?

Or it might just be sat somewhere, untaxed and unsorned. It's entirely possible - say, the keeper changed and the new keeper didn't re-sorn it, or if it was before 2013, the sorn expired.

When was it last taxed/sorned? If before 1998, when SORN came in, then it doesn't need to be sorned.

So could be that the keeper changed, could be that the SORN just expired, could just be that it's on the shelves at Tesco with a Heinz label. Not a lot more you can tell from that.

You could try filling in form V888 for the DVLA, paying the fee, and seeing what data on previous owners they can/will tell you,

If you sold it in reasonable condition as a going concern it's likely that the new owner has slipped up with the paperwork and not sorned it, same if it's off the road for a rebuild.

Other options being it is now out of the country at someone's holiday home, rather than officially exported, or the owner is ill/dead and it's sitting in a garage or under a tarp somewhere.

Only the current registered keeper can do this. I think the OP has got rid of the car.

If it was last taxed and MOTed in the seventies or eighties I'd be a bit more concerned about it, being road legal in the last four years means that it's less likely to have been considered just an old car and scrapped off.
