I have been considering the purchase of a classic camper van for some months, now my vintage caravan has gone I have the room for a camper.
Both campers I am considering have the B!C engines fitted, a 1963 Morris fitted with the 1800cc engine and a 1970 cf fitted with the 2lt engine.
Any comments and advise regarding these engines gratefully received.

I'm guessing the 1.8 petrol will be the usual B series lump:

By 'CF', I'm guessing you mean a Bedford, which will be what's known as the 'slant four' engine:

They're both gutless and thirsty by modern standards, but the B series should at least be very easy to get spares for as it's shared with the MGB and numerous other BL beauties. Plenty of info on the net about both.

Both engines are probably also relatively easily replaced with something a bit more modern and economical, should you desire. There are people who've done TDI conversions to MGB's, so much of the hardware should be available.

Good to hear, although I will retain the original engine being a bit of a purist. As for power, well my vintage iron is fated 1928 so I am well used to snail like pace biggrin
