I was very shocked when I saw it...they are getting good mone for certain cars at that auction.....the 44K miles RS Turbo was another .

A lot! Completely uneconomic as a usable car when the 'value' is presumably the very low milage.

prices there are unnaturally high

that is one auction where you need to go to every sale for a year and learn faces imo.

I'm suspicious sorry, but having been there, it seemed a bit wrong, some real pups, but a few nicer things, just strangely high bids.

It does seem a lot but it is very low mileage with a back story to support that, and that is important to some people. Difficult to judge the condition and quality of the work carried out but how many are there with less than 3k miles?

Anglia Car Auctions is a no frills outfit that would perhaps seem a bit odd to those used to the polished operations normally associated with classic car sales. However the punters drive the prices and ultimately determine the outcomes. I like it, no poncey sheen on has been cars (Classic auction at Silverstone anyone?).

It's appealing to sellers due to the low commission charged in the market, other than the parking what's not to like.

Ive sold a few cars via Silverstone. Straightforward and easy to deal with. What and when have you entered?

Well, I assume that the bodywork is sound but needs stripping and repainting, but looking at the car overall, and assuming that the motor isn't seized, I'd say it would cost about £50,000 if you find the right person or £150,000 if you go to one of the big three. The problems are in the main cosmetic, not rust it seems.

I've got a 6000 mile base model 924 entered in the Porsche auction next month

I sold my 1987 M535i at ACA's June auction. I didn't quite get what I hoped but my car was lot 12 out of over 200 which probably didn't help. I found them very helpful, professional and would definitely use them again. In this day and age, they are quite an old school auction, but therein lies the appeal for me.

Costing thesr days will probably be the purchase price again.Not a cheap car to restore.I wonder if there is some history that warrents such a price.

That's lovely I'd have paid significantly more than £2,250 for it, but would have to change the front end and tail pipes to Series 1 spec.
