Where to find the raw data?

Found that, downloaded a 14mb spreadsheet, still can;t find the oddball cars.

I suspect it's just down to how the data was entered in the first place, which is a manual thing and, I believe, still is to this day. Hence there appearing to be a much wider range of some new car brands than there actually is, as people can register (for example) an Audi A4 3.0 Quattro sport S-Line and an A4 Quattro S-Line sport 3.0 and it will appear as two different models.

But, to contradict myself, I did a quick google image search for a UK-registered ISO Grifo, found one and put it into the vehicle tax/MOT status enquiry, and it comes up as ISO, though the text box doesn't prompt for auto-complete (maybe because it's so short a name). So no closer to an explanation.

When looking some less common cars up, it is always worth interrogating Cartell Car Check to see what DVLA actually has as the make. Sometimes Make and Model have been entered in the Make field. As said, the How Many Left won't take that into account.

Interestingly the car I was looking up, the one that started this wasted day in the office, is listed on Cartell Car check, but not on DVLA or MOT history checks.

I've had that too. I think the data that Cartell uses includes cases where the car was exported or scrapped or in some way no longer appears on the DVLA list.
