Help identify the model and year of this Daimler

Spotted in a yard earlier this week.

RoyC suggested Daimler New Fifteen from the late 1930s in the abandoned classics thread, but looking at photos on line, this one has an xtra side window and split rear window.

So can anyone identify it?

The Saloon is the six-light version and the Sports Saloon is the four-light version.
Daimler also built a lower-priced Lanchester-branded version of the six-light, without the Daimler "waterfall" grille.

This is the Daimler Scout car from WW2 era . Otherwise known as the Dingo and uses the basic engine from the car in your photo.
