Help identifying Jaguar uprights.

Hi,

I know their are a few Jaguar guys on here who are very knowledgeable so thought I would ask.

I am clearing out a loft in the workshop and have found these Jag uprights, my Father thinks they may be from our old series one 3.8 E type, we uprated the brakes on ours for racing.(including uprights)

The images I have found show two caliper mounts on the uprights but these only have the one caliper mount.

Any ideas please ?

Looks like xj series 1,2,or 3 .ide say series 2.same as my coupe.....

I would say if there Xj then there series 1, that looks like shimmable balljoints whereas series 2 changed to sealed unit balljoints.

These are MK 11, early E type or S Type with Dunlop square pad calipers. The caliper mounting holes are too close to be anything else and the brackert sticking out is for the brake pipe to the calipers.

Thanks my old man swears blind they came off our old E type, I also thought the mounting holes were quite close together, would have thought a series one xj would have had bigger calipers.
