Hi all, I'm trying to purchase all the racing programmes for the year (1970) that my old Tuscan V6 won the STP Modified Championship.
There were 19 races in all, I've found roughly half of them. I'm keeping a close watch on e'bay, plus contacted a couple of specialist racing book stores.
Any pointers as to other search areas?

FYI - missing programmes are:
26 April Snetterton

10 May Mondello Park

6 June Oulton Park
28 June Mallory Park

5 July Brands Hatch
25 July Castle Combe

9 August Mondello Park
16 August Brands Hatch
31 August Castle Combe

20 Sept Mondello Park

17 October Oulton Park
Any and all help, thoughts advice gratefully received.

Why not try on the Autosport "Nostalgia Forum" (T.N.F.)

Very helpful and knowledgable chaps and keen hoarders too!

Didn't a doctor drive that TVR?

Doctors and motor sport used to be a bit of a norm back then.
I got well into the BARC Modsports Championship as it was just taking off then, with modded Ginettas and Davrians. (watching! not participating).
Funny thing is if this was 30 years ago, I would probably have had some of the programmes you are looking for. As an avid collector I used to have loads of programmes but over the ensuing years ebay ensured they mostly left my hands.

I drove a self-built 1150cc MG Midget in Modsports in '71 and '72, until I wrecked it at Brands Hatch! Still have a few programmes as souvenirs. Nothing from '70 though.

Thanks all, will try Autosport forum later.
Yes it was a Dr Rod Longton who won the championship that year, he mainly drove MG's but 'saw the light' for a few years and tried, successfully, TVR's.
The programmes seem to be quite elusive, however I'm in no rush so will keep looking and asking!! If you do unearth anything in your hoard then please let me know?
The Mod Sports championship did look somewhat wild but great racing. Not that much footage sadly and STP (Uk) who sponsored the series don't even really respond. The US site is full of racing nostalgia!!
Thanks again and keep me in mind if you do unearth anything (finders fee!!).
Very best
Duncan
