Trolling the net a few weeks ago I came across an interesting car for sale in Singapore, and since I happened to be there I went along to take a look.
Loved it, so did some research and after bargaining a bit, bought it
It's a 1938 Frazer Nash-BMW 327/80 Coupe.
At that time Frazer Nash were the UK distributors for BMW, the cars were shipped from Germany partially assembled to avoid import duty and finished off by Frazer Nash.
The car is being sipped now and will be back in UK end of Feb, so in the meantime I will be researching its history. I will join both the Frazer Nash and historic BMW clubs, and I have already received some useful info from them.
The car has had an interesting history of ownership, having stayed in UK until 1968 when it was sold to an owner USA, then at some point it went to Australia, then to Singapore, and now it's on its way home to UK, so it will have completed an ownership circumnavigation of the planet.
It will be undergo a total body off restoration, I will post on progress as it happens.

Unfortunately these are the best pics I have at the moment, taken by the vendor, and most of them are not well done.
There are some paint issues and the interior needs work, particularly the dash and instruments need total refurbishment.
I'm lining up some specialists to take a look at it when it arrives back in UK.

The car went to Mitchell Motors 3 weeks ago and has been to the upholsterers to have the upholstery stripped out. Now it will be further stripped right down and wings removed for blasting.
Will post some pics and further info as the work progresses, be prepared for a two year long story.
