Rust2Rome - Jaguar Mk10 V12 build

For lovers of the big ol' gal, I came across this and thought you might like 
Company Overview : Rust 2 Rome is an adventure! It's a 2 week long 4000 mile trip from Scotland to Rome. The Rust part comes from the rule stating that your car should cost no more than £500.
I don't know anything about this guy but love his bubbling enthusiasm.
There's no finesse, no grey painted floors with yellow lines and red top toolboxes, instead there's a forklift, some strapping and a rather nifty tool for heating seized nuts...but Jaguar logo overalls are worn! I love it should I give it a Mark out of Ten ?

I don't think it's the first time a manual V12 has been in a Mark Ten. My understanding is the factory had one as a development mule in the mid '60s which did a lot of testing for the XJ12.

Nice conversion - the XK was never really up to hauling these along with much authority.

That wasn't the V12 which eventually came out in the Series III E-Type and XJ12, that was the V12 destined for the XJ13. I can't remember for sure whether Neville Swales,the member here with the handle XJ13's, V12 ever ran in the Mk10 development mules.I don't think it's the first time a manual V12 has been in a Mark Ten. I think you are right. The MK10 would have been the correct period for the XJ13 development. However, I think there was at least one 420G used as a test bed for the XJ12 running gear in the very early days.
Living near Coventry at the time, you would often see Jaguars on test that didn't seem 'quite right'.

Well the guy (Marco) did it! Just updated myself on his videos and I see a FB link as well, they were across in Ireland this morning.
