Recommended car underbody rust proofer

Can anyone here recommend someone in the midlands.

I have a BMW e36 that requires some preservation work.

You could do a lot worse than good old fashioned waxoyl underseal. It's horrible stuff, relatively heavy and a nightmare to work on anything that's been coated in it. It's excellent at what it does though. Unlike paints and powder coating it doesn't chip and if it's applied to a clean surface, it'll protect it for years. Unfortunately a lot of people apply it after the damage has been done, or to cover up what they don't want seen.

Take a look at the wishbones in this thread, treated when new and they still look new, there are plentyof others like this:

Yes I have heard similiar about waxoyl.

I was thinking of Dinotrol as that is highly regarded too.

Bilt Hamber, they do a black or a clear rust proofer. Both are excellent products , they come with a long nozzle and are easy to work with. I'd also recommend Hydrate 80 for chassis sections, paint on and forget.

Not the cheapest product in the world but I've yet to have a bad product from them.

Warning!

Strongly advise underside is mint clean and dry before you whack anything on. There is a company, I'm thinking King's Lynn/Lincs way that have the process nailed. Not much help failing to recall their name tho - apols!
