With their futuristic looks and innovative engineering these cars have always appealed to me on several levels.
They must have been like something from another planet when they were introduced.
Unfortunately I've never even sat in one, let alone owned one.
Anyone on here own one or had any experiences with them ?

Hello Mike, hope you're doing well.
I service 2 of these superb cars. They are magnificent to sit in and the ultimate in ride quality; put a Jaguar to shame.
I'm fine thanks.I service 2 of these superb cars. They are magnificent to sit in and the ultimate in ride quality; put a Jaguar to shame.
Got a budget for another classic saloon car and these are on my radar.
Would you say they're a practical proposition ? Any real issues with servicing ? Special tools etc. ?
Prices seem to be on the up so I may have missed the boat for a decent one.

The blue car in the pics is now used all year round. I have carried out rustproofing on the floor and sills to protect it. Being front wheel drive with such a sophisticated suspension setup it is fantastic in the snow and bad weather. You can raise the suspension with a quick tug on the height lever if the snow gets really deep!!
Reasonably fuel efficient for such a big motor and sooo comfy on a long journey. Citroen Classics can supply just about anything for them and the parts prices are not too bad. Bomb proof engine and 'box if a bit agricultural. I love working on them because they are so well engineered. All nuts and bolts; no plastic clips or crap fittings!
Take the plunge and buy one before they get any dearer.
