Just been reading about "The Worlds Most Dangerous Amusement Park" which is a story in itself -

Anyway, one of the rides at this dangerous but ultimately fun park was called "LOLA cars" - they appeared to be oversized gokarts that resembled F1 cars - well as it transpires they WERE designed/made by Lola race cars over here in Huntingdon and called the T506 -

Apparently they originally had a Sachs wankel rotary from a snowmobile and proper wishbone suspension all round. From what I've read, once the rotary lump packed up most were fitted with two pot 4strokes or regular 2stroke motors - look really cool but there is little out there about them - just wondered if anyone knew owt about them or even worked at Lola when they were made?

Pretty cool no?

I don't know anything about those.

But I do know that I want one badly.

They look amazing

Apparently they were also used by the "Malibu Grand Prix" franchise at one point, so quite a few of them were made.

I am sure I have driven these at carting circuits in the US in Houston/Galveston area as I recall, back in the 90's great fun but not a responsive as a little 4 stroke cart I thought at the time, short on acceleration I think (compared to a cart)
