Popped down to Saltwood Castle for the open day today. Lovely day and was reminded how lovely the place is.

It was also great that the Long Garage was open and some of the cars were on display

Alan Clark's place? I'd love to see it one day.

Do you have any more photos?

I'm very envious of you. I loved Alan Clark's Backfire column in Classic Cars and I'd love to visit Saltwood.

yes, that's the one. It's open to the public about once a year.

The only other photos are of the castle, not of the cars

I recognise all the cars from Alan's writing, but can't see "Little Silver" which was his daily driver 911 or his Continental R - were they there too?

Please post some pictures of the castle too.

The Continental was sold some while ago, as was the C Type and a few others such as the Bang Bang and the Locomobile. I think Little Silver is up in Scotland with James. I didn't see the XK120, the 2CV or the Beetle but I think the family still have them
