SORN'd too long?
Discussion
Lads, can anyone help here? My cousin has an old Sierra I'm interested in, he originally SORN'd it, but after a few years it seems to have fallen through the 'DVLA cracks' and it hasn't been SORN's in at least 10 years. He thinks that if I/he try and put it back on the system, he'd be in for a massive fine? Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks.
Write to them and explain that he had no reminders for the period when he had to SORN it annually (it's now SORN once, and it stays SORN'd) and they will SORN it for him without a problem in my experience.
I had to do this with a Triumph Stag I forgot about, no fine/back tax or anything.

There's no way he will get fined. Its their system that has cocked up not him, Sorns dont expire.Stick it in here and if it says SORN, I'm sure it won't be a problem:
