Collected my new old car yesterday and spent a few hours checking the old girl over. First proper drive out completed and very pleased. A few minor issues to sort as always but this weekend will be at the strumpshaw steam rally.
It's a Humber 14/40 saloon of 1928 vintage, fairly much original although the headlining is new, well only thirty years old, same as carpet which is rubbishy 'carpetright' rolleyes
1st owner 1928 - 1958. 2nd owner 1958 -- May 2017. Log book authenticates.
The wheels need grit blast and paint, although I am advised powder coat is better. And the top half of car from window base should be, and will be, painted black.
Some images that I have just taken.

Unfortunately I am booked in elsewhere, maybe next year. Yes it's Ickworth Park Thanks for nice comments.

The dear old Humber has tons of grip in the dry at something bordering slow to very slow hehe In the wet, don't know but I guess it's bordering on terrifying or as I like to call it 'a characterful drive. biggrin
