Remember these? Shell Historic Cars Coins

A little bit of nostalgia here. I remember collecting these when I was still at junior school back in 1970 (?).
I picked this set up at a car boot sale last week....going on the wall in the garage!

Used to love collecting coins and cards and half of a £500 note from various "incentives" that I was given when famly members bought petrol.
Ah yes when I bought a gallon of 2 star for the lawnmower for 32 p !
(Suffolk Punch naturally).

I think I collected some of them but as with everything else ,got binned long time ago....

Yup - I still have my original set somewhere, along with the Shell "Man in Flight" series and the Esso football club badges

I had a part-time job on the pumps at a Shell garage at the time, so I quickly completed the set!

Pretty sure I've still got it, somewhere.

Think my Dad saved them for me - like football cards, though, dozens of some but one you could never find...!

Older sister was dating a lad who was a 'petrol attendant' so I got the full set. Also had the Esso FA Cup winners and the World Cup winners. Happy, innocent days.

Full sets on Ebay for less than a tenner ,so not a lot of value.
