When was the last time you checked your diff oil ?

One of the reasons stag diffs can whine is because they lose their oil through the front oil seal or sometimes the gasket on the back plate. If you notice you lose that oil rather quick and your diff don't whine I would be inclined to fix the leak asap as getting a good stag diff with no whine is harder than you think.
