As this is in the classic forum, we all know there are plenty of rolling roads out there, run by people for the remap/turbo community.
But the businesses out there, that not only know how to set carbs/timing/points etc.. up properly, but also have enough jets and old parts in stock to help you on the day are few and far between.

So I thought might be worth putting a thread for people to recommend These places for the classic community geographically round the country.

I'll kick it off with;

Peter Baldwin @ Wilsher Garages, Royston near Cambridge.
£75 ph (always better to be there with him to help press pedals etc...)
http://www.wilshers-garage.com/rolling-road
He is a legend round our way. Hard to get hold of and normally booked up for 2-3weeks, as he's getting on now and doesn't work all week.
A gentleman and artist.

Good idea. Afraid I can't be of much use on this as I live in the US. But I have taken a couple of my classics to a local dyno/rolling road just to see what they are doing performance wise. The owner is very much of the chip and tune generation but was comfortable with me doing the spanner work as they obviously had no clue what a carburetor was....laugh

I've used Fast Parts in Croydon a couple of times and been happy.

They are Mini guys by trade but been happy to have my Spitfire in, first time for a standard SU/dizzy tune and later for a Megajolt mapping (though they aren't and said up front they hadn't done one before). Only issue is they can only do RWD cars on Saturdays as the road is positioned for FWD cars and they need to have half the workshop empty to get the rear wheels on to the rollers.

My pal used these people in Northallerton for his breathed upon big Healy (£200 for 3 hours)

http://www.motoscope.co.uk/

Apparently upped the power from 155 to 185 bhp

In their website news section, page 7, Blue Healey

I can't find his car (white Healy) in their gallery but I have seen it on there before
I used Motoscope as well, they do quite a lot of classics. Very friendly and a good result.

I had to supply my own selection of needles for the SU's as they don't carry much in stock.

Pete certainly is a legend.

And Pete was 'getting on a bit' back in the early/mid-80's when I used to make use of considerable talents back when he was still operating the RR at Marshall's of Cambridge......eek

I use troy at Northampton Motorsport, he also does a lot of classics, I even saw a Testarossa in there once, and I mean the one from the 50's. Steve, his partner is a magician with carbs that's why the Testarossa was in there, having those six Weber twin chokes fettled.

They have a lot of big time classic customers and will do a great job on any classic.

My friend recently had his 1947 Plymouth (engine modified with original period speed equipment) dyno'd by Novatech in Slough, Berks.

They do a lot of 50's-70's vintage race stuff, and he was very pleased with what they were able to do with his car with what is a fairly unusual and rare engine setup in the UK.

Not a direct recommendation but I was speaking to Fuzz Townsend a while ago and he had good words about the guys at Aldon Automotive 10 miles West of Birmingham, old school Weber fettling.

So I have a Land Rover 110 Dormobile which is on a single weber with old electronic ignition - it is permanent four wheel drive and well over 2m tall. These guys whilst listed as modern fuel injection specialists also know the old school fundamentals and sorted out the vacuum advance issues for me and deserve a listing.

Peter Lander at Sigma Engineering in Gillingham, Dorset. Don't expect any frills and don't be put off by the old tatty trading estate he's on. Open the doors and you're confronted by some of the most eye-watering historic racing machinery. 01747 823270
