The Star Sapphire seems a bit dodgy with only a 2309cc A-S 236 motor and manual gearbox in place of the nearly 4 litre job and auto transmission it should have.
Even a Sapphire 346 (not a Star Sapphire) should still have a 3435 cc motor

Can't decide whether the Barchetta is well estimated or not.

Registered in 2005,so one of the last,looks lovely in black but mileage might keep bids low.

Not as pretty as the early cars,like mine.....

Bloke I know used to have a CX Safari, what a cracking old thing it was, unfortunately if you stood next to it and listened carefully, you could hear it rusting.

The Escort RS1600i looks nice too ,especially if the 33K miles is true....9000 - 12000 estimate.

Likewise, but colour change is easy compared to getting a real Star Sapphire motor and RR auto 'box for it.

For me the Austin A30 is pure nostalgia. A 1955 A30 was my first car purchase when I was a student in 1971. For £20 it came with 803cc of A series engine, several months' MOT and tax, although not much floor! I drove it all over the country with a notable ascent of Honister pass in the Lake District. (A rather violent double declutch change into 1st on the steepest section jerked the fan belt off and we arrived at the top in a cloud of steam!).

I eventually had to get the MOT renewed but by then a failed oil seal meant one rear drum was soaked in oil and the front dampers were history. Inevitably it failed and I sold it for £22.50; result! I then bought my brother's 1098cc Morris Minor van which felt like a rocket ship by comparison - all things are relative. Here's the A30, powersliding into the hall of residence car park (it was a very greasy piece of tarmac ):

Anyone on here sold a car via Anglia classic auction how did it go?
Is there much interest on the day lots of buyers?
Thinking about putting my Celica on there which is a one owner original car.

I didn't look at any of the other pics,have now.

Loss of originality devalues it significantly in my book.

Also doesn't have the unique ignition system,which is really difficult to get bits for nowadays.

And it is Caspian blue,one of six colours available......

The Nurburgring has a corner unofficially named Caspian corner,after 2 different people spun there in consecutive years in Caspian blue 16is.
