Now let me just say..I like Morgan's and might buy one - one day.
I also accept they are hand built and that is part of the charm...but the below just cannot be right.......can anyone else "see" what I think looks really wrong on this car........??
I could genuinely not live with that - let alone spend over £100K on it

That looks like it has been bumped and repaired badly. The rear wheel is certainly in the wrong place and it looks like it is riding slightly high overall.....
Morgan kindly loaned me and my father an Aero Coupe (which would be my choice as I much prefer the Coupe/Supersports styling to the new one). Whilst not the last word in driving dynamics and comfort, I was rather fond of it. Sounded lovely, looked lovely, had a sense of occasion and generated a massive amount of good will. 4 or 5 separate people over the course of the day (at petrol stations, car parks, stopped at lights) wanted to say hello.
And being a Malverner I am contractually obliged to like them. It's like Elgar - you'll be kicked out if you don't.

To my eyes, of the three photos, only the bottom one looks spot on. Surely Morgan assembly tolerances can't be that bad.
Agree only the blue car looks right.....and yes Morgan tolerances just cannot be THAT bad....surely someone casts an eye over these things??Also what is the dealer doing??

When the cars are new or have been jacked up the antiroll bar takes some time to settle down.
If the cars not done many miles or carried any load then they tend to sit high.
Picture of mine below.

That looks lovely John, the body in relation still looks a little high, but much much better than the cars for sale. If the cars not done many miles or carried any load then they tend to sit high.

Your explanation is totally plausible TR's suffer the same.

What didn't he like about it then?
His had a lot of problems in the first year or so and it sort of ruined the shine that it had, if that makes sense.I'd have to ask for anything more specific, but I think some of the other problems weren't with the car - he was looking for something more like a Jaguar XK and bought the wrong car for what he wanted. That's only my suspicion though, he hasn't actually said that
The rear wheel arch problem wheel centering issue is well known, they leave the factory like that & it is not the result of accident repair, which you might initially suspect unless you understood that this is how they are.
The S1 & S2 Aeros do not suffer from this issue.
On all Aeros, the chassis is high tech laser cut aluminium & so the rolling chassis are identical & true. The off centre wheel arch on late models comes about due, I believe, to the way the wing is mounted on the chassis & is dependant on whether old Bob was out on the lash the night before...........well, you get my drift, the chassis are true but the body mounting is done by hand. It's not in my eyes acceptable, but this is how they are.
All of that notwithstanding, they are magnificent, exotic & engaging machines. Now the supply of V8 BMW engines is nearly used up, they are & will continue to be really very rare & their value will only go one way over the next 10 years

Looks like a badly rebodied kit car.
