Left to right hand Healey 3000
Discussion
Can't advise specifically on the AH3000, but my dad recently did a L/H to R/H conversion on a MGA that came in from the States. It was really simple to do from memory. Transferrable bits were steering column, 2 of the pedals (brake and clutch I think) and needed new dash panel, accelerator pedal, longer throttle cable, R/H steering rack etc.
Sure someone with half decent skills could take on the job :-)
Hi Baz...I'm doing mine at the moment..I think its not a difficult job but there is a lot to do and the parts can be expensive.
the main thing you will need a RHD steering column & box £1300, but theres lots of other parts ..steering idler, dashboard, throttle pedal & linkage,
brake + clutch master cylinders need moving over so pipe have to be renewed. wiring harness needs altering or renewing, dip switch needs moving
the list goes on....
The good thing is that most parts "bolt on" including all body panels.
Send off for a parts catalogue from A H Spares its free and is very detailed with a full price list.
Good luck with it...do it now..prices are on the up for projects...Ian.
