Help trace first car

Hi everyone

Posting this in the hope someone can help me with trying to trace my first car I brought and also passed my Driving test within. I have checked the government website for current MOT and tax and they are not available . The car is a 1973 Ford escort mark1 1300 and the last mot and tax record was 1984 . Did speak to a local car dealer and he said assumed it is scrapped but that’s would be 2 easy and hoping someone has had experience in this field and can help .

Unlikely, unless somebody explicitly remembers doing it. If they'd informed DVLA, the plate probably wouldn't come back at all.

The chances of a tarted-up cooking-spec Mk1 Escort disappearing off the record in the early/mid 80s, but actually surviving are very, very slim.

CTRL+C / CTRL+V this in to Facebook. Seems to be able to track down anything these days. Just add a suitable sob story to the caption and I imagine you'll discover it's before the week is out.
