Hang on, if he scrapped the Jag 'years ago'. How did he get the V5C which if I recall only came into use in 2010?
Or am I missing something?

And ...is it above board to sell a V5C? I suppose you could, but...

Hummm?
Interesting:-
I have an original 'Green' logbook for a 1966 Mk1 1275cc Cooper 'S' which I broke up for parts in 1970's - what's it worth?
Comes complete with the original fuel ration booklet issued in early 70's with the cars registration number onsmile

I have an orig green logbook for 66 car too and one of those fuel ration books.
Best thing is I have the car too!

I'll give you a quid for the logbook etc plus p/p - it's no good to you. I'll put it in mine's glovebox to add a bit more provenance!
If I sell the car I can imagine a prospective buyer: 'What's this? Oh, original owner had a 1275 Cooper S as well'. 'Hmm.'

Should add another grand to selling price!
Tell you what, I'll give you two quid plus p/p. hehe

I loved the 'S' but rust killed it - would love another but the wife hates Mini's - Oh well the logbook & fuel ration book can stay framed together with a picture of the car, on the wall in my mancavesmile

Surely if you 'own' the logbook, you own the car?

I've still got the green logbook for my 1972 TR6, for some reason I managed to have two of them, one went with the car when sold and I still have the other one.

Go and find a V5C... Read the bit in big letters on the front about ownership.

Now go and find the car that goes with that V5C...
